Grace Henley

I’m a Brisbane makeup and hair artist working on commercial, beauty, editorial and creative projects.

Makeup and hair, made for the camera.

I do makeup, hair and beauty together rather than treating them as separate jobs, so one person can build a look, adjust it and look after it for the whole shoot. I’m also a photographer, and that changes how I see a face: what matters is how it reads in the final image, at the crop and under the lighting it will actually be seen in, not how it looks in the chair.

In practice that means sorting skin texture before colour, checking every look on camera rather than in the mirror, and building something that lasts a long day and a few setups.

I’m based in Brisbane and happy to travel across the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Further afield is always worth a conversation.
